DJI Mini 3 common repair issues
Based on customer reports and repair data, here are the most common DJI Mini 3 repair issues:
Most Frequent Problems:
- Gimbal connection failures - Similar to your Mini 2, ribbon cable damage from crashes or wear causes "gimbal stuck" errors and loss of camera control
- Motor arm breaks - Impact damage from hard landings or crashes requires complete arm assembly replacement.
- Propeller screw loosening - Frequent flights cause screws to work loose, leading to vibration and potential propeller loss
- Front arm axis hinge wear - The Folding mechanism becomes loose or breaks over time with regular use
Less Common but Notable Issues:
Shock absorption damper failure - Camera shake and poor stabilization from worn rubber dampeners
- IMU calibration problems - Often related to internal ribbon cable damage affecting sensors
- Battery connection issues - Loose contacts affecting power delivery and flight performance
CrashRelated Damage:
- Multiple motor arms get damaged simultaneously
- Gimbal ribbon cable severed.
NOTE: The Mini 3 shares similar ribbon cable vulnerabilities with the Mini 2.
